Transitions are always challenging for all of us, regardless of whether it is the transition from the womb to the world or from the mother’s arms to preschool and then from preschool to primary school.

It’s time for the children to transit from Senior KG at Podar Prep to Grade 1. As they transit to Grade 1, they will witness a few changes like new teachers, new friends, new learning methods, and their school day will now be for longer hours.

To support them to transit smoothly, Podar Prep has organized a unique farewell party called - Bye Bye Kindergarten, Hello Primary and Graduation Ceremony.

Bye Bye Kindergarten Hello Primary! Event will consist of activities for children to enjoy this big step towards Grade 1.

The Brain of the Primary School child now needs Executive Brain functions.

3rd Kiducation Huddle with parents is a dedicated space for parents to come together and explore ways to support their children's educational journey. Today's focus is on S.T.R.E.A.M.

Podar Prep curriculum is S.T.R.E.A.M because Science, Technology, Reading and Writing, Engineering, Arts and Expression, and Mathematics based curriculum allows children to learn important skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, innovation, and technology skill sets.

They were involved in different activities based on Science, Technology, Reading and Writing, Engineering, Arts and Expression, and Mathematics to get an insight into how our children get to choose, play, explore and learn while developing skills.

It’s winter time and the time of the year when people get ready for and celebrate Winter.

Podar Prep awaits not only for their children but children with their friends. Yes! Parents will accompany children with their friends and parents enjoy the winter wonderland activities to make their winter memorable memories in their life.

Why do we celebrate Sports Day?

Children are socially ready to compete only by the age of 6 years, and so in our Jumbo Adventure for Life Skills, we will have no first, second, or third prizes. At our sports day celebration, every child is a winner and receives a certificate of participation. After all, you will agree that the only race that our children need to be in is the human race!

India has a rich heritage of storytelling through art forms like Dastangoi, Chamba Rumal, Pattachitra, Togalu Gombeyata, Chitrakathi, Kaavad, and many more. But if we look at story books or videos meant for children, they are mostly in digital art styles, and the traditional art forms are lost.

And that is why we celebrated our annual day with the theme of “Kahani Aur Kala Ka Utsav Jumbo Ke Sang,” as our Annual Concert 2024. Our children took us on a journey of Kala Aur Kahani Ka Utsav with a unique flavor of values and life skills.

Janmashtami is more than just a human pyramid; it represents a celebration of values and beliefs. It symbolizes unity, courage, and faith. It teaches values like wisdom, taking responsibility, being a good friend, honesty, and many more.

Why do we celebrate Janmashtami at Podar Prep?

At Podar Prep, we celebrate Janmashtami to instill values such as wisdom, responsibility, friendship, and honesty in our children. Additionally, they learn about the nutritional benefits of milk and milk products, promoting their health during the festivities.

So, for Janmashtami this year, our theme is "Milk: Building Blocks for a Healthy Life."

The Olympic Games are an international sports festival held every four years.

Why do we celebrate the Olympics at Podar Prep?

Through Olympics week, our children will understand the value of teamwork, team spirit, and achieving common goals. It also encourages children to be active, eat well, and take care of their bodies, thus covering our Panchkoshas.

At Podar Prep, through the simple yet meaningful hands-on activity of making a Rakhi, our children learn the importance of family bonds and the responsibilities that come with them during the Raksha Bandhan celebration. On Independence Day, we celebrate not only our freedom but also the legacy passed down through the grandparents. Therefore, at Podar Prep, Independence Day takes on a special meaning. This fusion of Independence Day with Grandparents is to help families realize that culture, tradition, and patriotism must be handed down from present generations to future generations. Our legacy of Independence is best learned from grandparents by their grandchildren.

International Left Handers Day, observed on August 13th each year, is a day dedicated to celebrating individuals who predominantly use their left hand for tasks such as writing, drawing, and other activities.

International Mud Day is a special day dedicated to playing and exploring with mud. It is celebrated around the world to help children connect with nature, use their senses, and enjoy creative and imaginative play.

Why Do We Celebrate Mud Day?

The Mud Day celebration at Podar Prep is a chance for our children to get messy, explore nature, and unleash their creativity! Playing with mud engages all their senses, helping them learn and grow. It's a sensory playground that strengthens their fine and gross motor skills through various planned activities.

The first Kiducation Huddle conducted at Podar Prep with parents serves as a crucial opportunity to establish a collaborative partnership between the school and parents. It aims to provide parents with insights into the school's educational approach, curriculum, and goals, as well as to foster open communication and engagement in their child's learning journey. The teacher will introduce the 1st Kiducation Huddle to the parents by first welcoming them, explaining the purpose and importance of these huddles, and then providing a brief overview of the agenda.

The teacher welcomes the learners and their parents by saying, “Welcome, parents, to our first Kiducation Huddle! We're thrilled to have you here today as we embark on this exciting journey together. The Kiducation Huddle is a special time for us to come together as a community and share insights, ideas, and goals for your child's education and development.”

The teacher then shares the purpose of the Kiducation Huddle with the parents by saying, “The purpose of the Kiducation Huddle is to build a strong partnership between home and school. We believe that your involvement in your child's education is vital to their success, and these huddles provide a platform for us to collaborate, communicate, and support one another.”
