The "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, launched by the Government of India, aims to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes to foster patriotism and national pride. In alignment with this initiative, Podar International School #Talegaon has actively participated to support and promote the campaign.

The Thematic Unit: ‘In My Town’ concluded at Podar International School #Talegaon with the culminating event ‘Welcome To Our Town’ organized by the students of Grade 2. This event focused on all that the students have learned during the course of the Thematic Unit as they came dressed as different community helpers and took a tour around the town.

The Independence Day celebration at PIS #Talegaon was a success, marked by a rich array of cultural programs, recognition of staff and student achievements, and a strong message on environmental responsibility.

The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by our respected Principal Sir and the Chief Guests, Dr. Nilesh Maslekar and Ms. Archana Debata, followed by the singing of the national anthem. This was a solemn moment that set the tone for the day's celebrations.

The event featured a series of musical performances, including both vocal and instrumental pieces, a dance performance, and a well-played skit designed to evoke a sense of patriotism and educate the audience about the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.

The school recognized staff members who have completed successful years with the Podar organization. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to acknowledge their dedication and contribution.

The event included a special felicitation: Miss Saee Baber received a Gold medal and a Bronze medal, and Mast. Nivid Nair received one Silver and one Bronze medal in the 9th Maharashtra State Level Kung Fu Championship 2024. One student received a Gold medal, and another received a Bronze medal. Certificates were also presented to recognize their achievements.

The event concluded with Principal Sir's inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of the "Say No to Plastic" initiative. Principal Sir encouraged parents and the school community to adopt eco-friendly practices and reduce plastic usage. Shiksha Saptah aims to foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation among learners, educators, policymakers, and stakeholders in the education sector. Different activities with the Theme 'Mirror Musings' under Integrated Learning Program were conducted for the students of class 1 to 8 at PIS #Talegaon. The objective of the special feature ‘Mirror Musings: Reflecting on My Brightest Self’ was to focus on how one's mindset plays an important role in life. Having a growth mindset results in belief in oneself and one's abilities to achieve their aims. It also encouraged the students to think positively in the face of setbacks and not give up easily.

Led by chanting of Vedic hymns and bhajans, the Palki procession moved through the school premises. Students, dressed in traditional attire, enthusiastically participated by carrying lamps, flowers, and incense. The procession symbolized devotion and reverence towards Lord Vishnu, as well as unity among the school community in celebrating their cultural heritage.

The Aashadi Ekadashi celebration with the Palki procession was a memorable and spiritually enriching experience for all participants. Christmas day is celebrated all over the world on December 25. People celebrate Christmas day to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ - who is believed to be the Messiah. Christmas day celebration can be traced back to the mid-fourth century in Asia Minor, now known as Turkey. During the festival, Christians gathered to eat the Feast of the Nativity of Christ and the consumption of bread and wine was a common custom during this time. Throughout Europe, Christians began to also celebrate Christmas day by lighting candles on trees and singing carols by candlelight. Today, Christmas is celebrated in many different parts of the world by people of all beliefs alike.

A lot of people celebrate the birth of Jesus by putting up a happy Christmas day tree, decorating it with lights, and sharing presents with friends and family. Many people also plan for new year celebrations around this time.

CBSE Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Practices Training was conducted at Podar International School, Talegaon by Resource persons, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Nayak Sir (Principal of Podar International School, Talegaon) and Mr. Pradeep Samal (Principal of Flora Valley School and Junior College).

The celebration marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints (All Saints’ Day, November 1) and initiates the season of Allhallowtide, the triduum dedicated to remembering the dead that lasts three days and concludes with All Souls’ Day (November 2).

Class 6 C of Podar International School, #Talegaon conducted a special assembly for celebrating Halloween Day, in which they performed a skit, and provided more information about Halloween.
