Podar International School Solapur celebrated International Yoga Day on 20th June 2026 with great enthusiasm.

The students participated in various yoga asanas and breathing exercises, embracing the message of a healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a balanced life.

A mesmerizing dance performance by Grade Vll Opal and Diamond students followed by elegant yoga asanas beautifully showcased the harmony of art, fitness, and inner peace by students and teachers.

The student delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of the Yoga Day.

Podar International School # Solapur celebrated Marathi Rajbhasha Divas on 27 February 2026 with great enthusiasm, honoring the rich heritage of the Marathi language and commemorating the birth anniversary of renowned poet Kusumagraj.

Our young Podarites actively participated in the celebrations, showcasing their talents through dance performance and shared the importance of the day.

The program began with the garlanding of Kusumagraj's portrait, by honorable Principal Mr Samrendra Panigrahi Sir along with the Vice Principal Mr Ramhari Ghadge sir followed by an informative speech highlighting the importance and history of the Marathi. Subject teachers of Marathi were felicitated by honorable principal sir on this occasion.

Shivjayanti marks the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the first Chhatrapati and founder of the Maratha Empire and is celebrated on 19 February every year. Shivaji Maharaj, Maharashtra's greatest warrior king known for his excellent military is often cited as Maharashtra's pride.

On this occasion, our young Podarites of Grade VII shared the importance of Shivjayanti in the special assembly. The students paid the tribute through speech, dance, balad and skit depicting an event from the immersive life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Their enthusiasm is appreciable.

Learning Beyond Classrooms!

Students of Classes IV & V from Podar International School Solapur had an enriching educational field trip to Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar University on 6 February 2026.

From exploring Archeological department and functioning of television to gaining valuable insights about the Radio, the visit offered students a firsthand glimpse into various fields.

A well-planned experience, an inspiring environment, and curious minds made this campus visit truly memorable.

Podar International School, Solapur celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2026 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students of Grade VI Amber presented a special assembly that included the Thought of the Day and highlighted the importance of the occasion.

They performed a short skit, which added liveliness and meaning to the celebration.

Mr. Himanshu Lele, Co-founder of Prithvi Zero Waste Foundation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and enlightened the assembly with his valuable and inspiring words.

On January 2, 2026, Grade 9 students from Podar International School, Solapur, visited the Commissioner of Police Office to commemorate Maharashtra Police Raising Day.

The visit provided students with a practical, hands-on learning experience that extended beyond their textbooks. Key highlights of the educational visit included:

• Weaponry Showcase: Police officers demonstrated and shared technical insights regarding various weapons used by the force.
• Emergency Services: Students were briefed on the functioning of emergency response systems, including the Dial 112 service.
• Cybercrime Awareness: The Cybercrime Cell provided valuable information on digital safety, online security, and how the department tackles modern technological crimes.
• Operational Control: A tour of the Control Room allowed students to witness firsthand how the police coordinate and manage city-wide operations and communications.

Field trips help students connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

As a part of experiential learning, Grade III students of Podar International School Solapur visited Parle G factory Srujan Foods, Chincholi. The visit provided students with an opportunity to observe the biscuit making process and understand how their favorite snacks are produced. It was an enriching and enjoyable learning experience for our young learners.

Raksha Bandhan is a very auspicious occasion for Indian siblings. It is celebrated between brothers and sisters as a tribute to the everlasting bond they share.

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in a special assembly at Podar International School Solapur. Our young Podarites shared the importance of the day. Honourable Principal Mr. Samarendra Panigrahi addressed the assembly with inspirational words.

Podar International School, Solapur, organized a housewise Rakhi Making Competition for students of Grades 1 to 8 to commemorate the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Students showcased their creativity by crafting beautiful Rakhis using materials such as silken thread and ribbon. This activity celebrated the spirit of Raksha Bandhan while encouraging artistic expression and fine motor skills.

The event emphasized the emotional bond associated with the festival and highlighted the significance of protection and positive sibling relationships.

Students from Grade VIII Pearl shared information emphasizing the significance of parents in their lives. Parents are recognized as crucial figures in a child's development, acting as their first teachers and guides. Our students of Grade X at Podar International School, Solapur enjoyed a hands-on learning experience at the IDBI, Jule Solapur bank. A practical session at the bank gave our students valuable insights into money and credit. It helped the young curious minds understand how money moves and credit works. The students enjoyed the visit.

A nation's strength lies in the courage of its soldiers. On 25th July 2025 Podar International School Solapur paid tribute to the heroes of Kargil who stood tall in face of adversity. Their courage continues to inspire generations.

The celebration at Podar International School, Solapur included meaningful activities like students of grade VIII reciting dohas and performing a dance to express the importance of a Guru. The Principal Sir appreciated the student's efforts and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the value of the teacher-student relationship. Such celebrations help instill respect and gratitude in students towards their educators, which is a foundation of the Guru-Shishya tradition.

Podar International School Solapur celebrated 'Ashadhi Ekadashi' in the assembly organized by Grade V students.

The event began with a solemn prayer, worship of idol God Vitthal, followed by a harmonious group song and insightful speeches on the historical and spiritual significance of 'Ashadhi Ekadashi'.

Students of Grade I and II dressed in traditional Maharashtrian Warkari costumes brought the spirit of devotion and cultural heritage to life. The highlight was the 'dindi' pilgrimage walk, symbolizing unity and community spirit. Captivating dance performances and melodious abhanga showcased the artistic talents of our students.
