The South Zone-II CBSE Competition was held at Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) from September 25 to 28 in the CBSE Shooting Championship 2024-25.

In the Pip Sight Air Rifle category (Under 14 Girls), Ms. Ovi Nilesh Pawar from Podar International School Shirur scored 390 out of 400 marks and secured the bronze medal.

As a result, she has been selected for the upcoming CBSE National Shooting Championship in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). Contestants from six different states—Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu—participated in this competition.

Ovi has been practicing under the guidance of Sharad Tarte sir and has become the first shooter from Shirur to be selected for this prestigious competition.
