A floral tribute was offered to Kusumagraj in reverence to his immense contribution to Marathi literature.
The Marathi Department thoughtfully prepared an informative display board depicting the diverse dialects of Marathi spoken across Maharashtra, while also showcasing valuable insights into Kusumagraj’s remarkable literary works. The board further introduced students to emerging Marathi literary figures encouraging them to explore contemporary Marathi literature.

From Awareness to Action – Earth Avengers Leading the Change!'
With immense pride, Podar International School Satara successfully conducted the Earth Avengers Action Program — a year-long initiative focused on building awareness about sustainable living and responsible environmental practices. The initiative began with educating students about the environmental impact of food waste, the importance of segregation, recycling practices, and effective waste management methods.
Our young Earth Avengers emerged as proactive ambassadors, spreading awareness and encouraging mindful habits across the school community. An Awareness Corner was specially created on campus — a dedicated display space showcasing informative posters, creative student work, key facts about food waste management, and composting techniques.This corner became a hub of knowledge and inspiration, reinforcing the message of sustainability and encouraging collective responsibility.
Moving from awareness to impactful action, we proudly implemented 'Segregating food waste and composting it within the school premises'. Through systematic segregation and on-campus composting, students transformed waste into nutrient-rich compost, proving that responsible actions can create real environmental impact. National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Podar International School Satara. The day commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by India’s Nobel laureate Sir C. V. Raman on February 28, 1928—a groundbreaking scientific achievement that revolutionized molecular spectroscopy and earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
The highlight of the event was a deeply inspiring address by our Principal Sir. By thoughtfully weaving together the life and contributions of Sir C. V. Raman with relatable, real-life examples, he reminded us that scientific thinking begins with a simple question and a curious mind. To emphasize the importance of nurturing a scientific temperament among students, he shared a simple yet powerful example—placing a stick in water and observing how it appears —encouraging students to question why such phenomena occur instead of accepting them at face value.

The ILP module ‘From Maps to Apps-Exploring Travel and Tourism in the Digital Age’ was successfully conducted for Grades 1 to 8 at PIS, Satara.
Grades 1 & 2 students explored the concept of travel, compared past and present travel methods, and learned about tourism and the role of technology. They also understood responsible tourism by planning an eco-friendly trip, creating a travel pledge.
Grades 3 & 4 Students learned about changes in travel through discussions, map-making, trip planning, and virtual tour activities. They also reflected on tourism impacts and created eco-friendly travel ideas.
Grades 5 & 6 Students compared traditional and modern travel methods, explored digital tools, and designed a travel app prototype through interactive activities. They also discussed tourism impacts, imagined future travel, and created eco-friendly and responsible travel ideas.
Grades 7 & 8 Students analyzed how technology, social media, and evolving motives shaped travel experiences from the past to the future. They analysed cases of unsustainable tourism and created travel advisory posters promoting mindful, eco friendly travel.
At Podar International School Satara, imagination met innovation as we proudly hosted two dynamic inter-house competitions — Primary House Competition: “Global Chronicles – A Travel Storytelling Challenge” and Secondary House Competition: “App itecture – Pitch a Travel App of the Future.”

Our little learners of Grade I had a wonderful time exploring the theme “Going Places” - covering exciting topics like Vehicles, Shelter, and The Earth.

On the auspicious occasion of Shiv Jayanti, Podar International School, Satara resonated with pride, valor, and devotion as we commemorated the birth anniversary of the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The students of Std 6 had an enriching and educational industrial visit to Palekar Factory where learning came alive beyond the classroom walls. With keen curiosity and bright enthusiasm, our young learners observed the manufacturing process firsthand and understood how raw materials are transformed into finished products.
They gained valuable insights into industrial operations, safety measures, teamwork, and the importance of quality and discipline in real-life workplaces. The visit encouraged them to ask questions, think critically, and connect textbook knowledge with practical experience.

The Culminating Event of the Thematic Unit “Let’s Move” for Grade IV was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation. The programme began with a melodious choir performance that set a joyful tone for the day.
Students showcased their learning through presentations, dance, quiz, and PT, highlighting concepts of travel, transport, energy, force, and fitness.
The story learned during the session was creatively presented through a skit. They presented innovative future vehicle models and explained their unique properties. Models of different types of bridges, created during the thematic sessions, were also displayed.
The interactive quiz engaged the audience and reinforced key concepts in an enjoyable way. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with thematic unit worksheets reflecting students’ learning journey.

G - genius- Grade II students visited Parle G factory with full zeal and enthusiasm , where they explored the process of making their favourite biscuits into different steps from importing flour - kneading dough into big mixer - dough forming into shape of biscuit - biscuit baked at high temperatures - packaging process and last ready to ship.
Learning outcome - steps how factories work and we receive our desired product, the pain and hard work of each and every person associated with the product right from the farmer to the malls , shops where we enjoy our shopping experience.

The young learners got an up - close look at industrial mixing , high - temperature baking , and automated wrapping processes.

The students of Grade III enthusiastically presented their culminating event titled “Magical Science Lab” in the School Auditorium. The program was a wonderful celebration of curiosity, creativity, and scientific learning. The event was graced by our respected Principal, Vice Principal, teachers whose presence added great encouragement to the young learners. To create a lively atmosphere, the event commenced with a melodious musical performance by the talented students, setting the perfect tone for the scientific journey ahead.
The young participants looked confident and enthusiastic in their uniforms and self-prepared lab coats, truly reflecting the spirit of budding scientists. Few students conducted an engaging and interactive Quiz that tested the audience’s knowledge and encouraged active participation. Also they delivered an informative presentation on the Importance of Water, spreading awareness about conservation and sustainability.
Students presented an interesting session on the Food Connection, explaining the science behind the food we eat. Students amazed everyone with live demonstrations of various Science Experiments, making learning both fun and memorable. A field trip was organised for Grade III (2025–26) to Raghuleela Chocolate Factory, Jakatwadi, Satara on 11th February 2026. The visit was planned to provide students with practical knowledge about the process of chocolate making.
During the visit, students learned about the complete process of preparing chocolate. The factory staff explained how chocolate is made from cocoa, mixed with other ingredients, and shaped into different forms. Students also observed the wrapping and packaging process, where chocolates were carefully sealed and packed using machines under proper hygiene conditions.
The children were very excited to see the machines in operation and understand how teamwork and technology help in large-scale production. The staff members guided the students throughout the visit and answered their questions patiently.
The trip was both educational and enjoyable. It enhanced the students' knowledge and gave them a wonderful learning experience outside the classroom. Overall, the visit to Raghuleela Chocolate Factory was informative, engaging, and memorable for all.

During the visit, students observed the entire sugar production process—from harvesting and crushing of sugarcane to purification, crystallization, and packaging.
The trip enhanced students’ understanding of industrial machinery, safety measures, quality control, and the importance of agro-based industries in the economy.
On Monday, 9/02/26, the students of Standard IV visited Palekar Foods.
The visit was organized to give students practical knowledge about food production.
At the factory, they observed how biscuits, khari toast, and cream rolls and other bakery items of Palekar are made.
The staff explained the steps of mixing, baking, and packaging the products.
Students learned about hygiene and safety rules followed in the production area.
They found the process interesting and asked many questions.
The trip was educational and enjoyable for all the students.
Overall, it was a valuable learning experience.
