A special assembly was conducted by grade I and II to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd, honoring the life, values, and enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated not only as a national holiday in India but also recognized globally for his contribution to non-violent civil rights movements. The assembly provided an opportunity for students and teachers to reflect on his teachings of peace, truth, and non-violence, and their relevance in today's world.

The assembly was designed to:

• Educate students about Mahatma Gandhi’s life, principles, and philosophy.
• Encourage students to adopt the values of truth (Satya) and non-violence (Ahimsa) in their lives.
• Promote unity, peace, and tolerance within the school community.
• Reinforce the importance of cleanliness and community service, key elements of Gandhi’s vision for India.

Welcome Address and Introduction

The assembly began with a brief introduction to the importance of Gandhi Jayanti by the principal, emphasizing the relevance of Mahatma Gandhi's ideals in shaping a better society today.

Speech on the Life and Achievements of Mahatma Gandhi

The students delivered an insightful speech detailing Mahatma Gandhi’s journey from his early life to becoming a leader of India’s freedom struggle. Special emphasis was placed on his pivotal role in movements like the Non-Cooperation Movement, Salt March (Dandi March), and Quit India Movement.

Recitation of Inspirational Quotes

Students took turns reciting famous quotes from Mahatma Gandhi, such as:

• “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
• “An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.”

These quotes were followed by short explanations, allowing the audience to reflect on their deeper meanings.

The assembly also included a skit highlighting Gandhi’s role in promoting non-violence and self-reliance during India’s struggle for independence.

Discussion on Cleanliness and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

As a tribute to Gandhi’s emphasis on cleanliness, a segment of the assembly was dedicated to discussing the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a government initiative inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.

In the letter writing activity organized by the students of class seven at Podar International School Pathardi, students not only expressed their feelings and thoughts through letters but also explored new and old-fashioned journalism styles. The event provided them with the opportunity to experience the language and style of dialogues from various periods, enhancing their writing abilities.

During the paper writing session, students learned how to start correctly and arrange different parts of the letter, including the sender's name, date, greetings, main message, and conclusion. In the practice of writing letters, students were given a portion of a letter and tasked with completing it or writing a new letter based on the prompt.

This activity helps children increase creativity, communication skills, and vocabulary while also highlighting the importance of letter writing in practical life.

Hindi Diwas was organized with great enthusiasm at Podar International School Pathardi on 14th September. On this special day, the school planned various activities and programs to highlight the importance of the Hindi language.

The program began with discussions on the relevance of the Hindi language by school head officers and teachers. Following this, students participated in speech, poetry recitation, and short drama competitions in Hindi.

The school organized special events to foster affection and respect among students towards the Hindi language, discussing various aspects of Hindi literature and honoring the contributions of great Hindi writers.

This event provided students with a valuable opportunity to understand and encourage the significance of the Hindi language.

Culmination Event: "Plastic, Plastic Everywhere – Plastic: The Game Changer"

The school recently organized a culmination event under the theme Plastic, Plastic Everywhere – Plastic: The Game Changer. The event commenced with an inauguration ceremony and traditional lamp lighting. Students from Grades 1 to 8 actively participated, showcasing their creativity and environmental awareness.

As part of the event, students created various decorative items using plastic bottles, bags, and wrappers, demonstrating how plastic waste can be repurposed. They also designed informative posters to spread awareness about reducing plastic usage and promoting sustainable alternatives.

The program began with an informative introduction by Mst. Gaurav Patil, who highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Ganesh Chaturthi. Following this, Ms. Shatakshi Vinchurkar delivered a spiritually uplifting recitation of the Ganesh Stotra, creating a divine atmosphere in the assembly.

The storytelling session by Ms. Shubhra Jadhav captivated the audience, especially the younger students, with its moral lessons and cultural insights. This was followed by an energetic and vibrant dance performance, choreographed by Ms. Shweta and Ms. Dnyaneshwari, which truly captured the essence of the festival.

A musical segment featuring a heartfelt song dedicated to Lord Ganesha was performed by the choir under the guidance of Mr. Sudhir Sonawane and Mr. Kalpesh Jejure. Their efforts ensured a moving and enthusiastic performance that left a lasting impression on the audience.

The event commenced with an opening prayer, invoking blessings and expressing gratitude for the invaluable contributions of teachers. The prayer set a serene and respectful tone for the day’s celebrations.

Following the prayer, the teachers were felicitated for their dedication and hard work. The principal delivered a heartfelt speech, acknowledging the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of students. Each teacher was presented with a token of appreciation, which included a certificate and a small gift.

The highlight of the event was a vibrant dance performance by the students. They showcased their talent and creativity through a series of well-choreographed dances, which were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Podar International School, Pathardi celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm.

The Grade X Raman students led the assembly, showcasing a short act, a lively dance performance, and a special presentation that depicted the life of Major Dhyan Chand. The students beautifully illustrated how Dhyan Chand, often referred to as the "Wizard of Hockey," mesmerized the world with his extraordinary skills.

National Sports Day, celebrated annually on August 29th, honors the birth anniversary of this hockey legend. The day underscores the importance of sports and physical activity in our daily lives, inspiring everyone to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

It also serves as a tribute to Major Dhyan Chand's remarkable contributions and achievements, encouraging us all to emulate his dedication and discipline.

Podar International School, Pathardi recently held a special assembly to celebrate the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.

Grade 3 students from the Ganga section led the assembly, starting with a series of prayers that included a blend of various bhajans, followed by a Sanskrit Suvichar. The students then presented a short skit depicting key events from Lord Shri Krishna's life, accompanied by a lively dance performance.

The assembly concluded with a vibrant Dahi Handi program, where senior students showcased their energy and enthusiasm, followed by group photos.

The values emphasized during the Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebration included devotion, divine love, honesty, balance, courage, and kindness.

We celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great pomp and grandeur.

The festivities began at 7:40 am, starting with the dignitaries of the school taking the stage to unfurl the national flag. This was followed by the national anthem and the zanda geet.

Principal Ma'am, Ms. Niti Jonnathan, and Vice Principal Sir, Mr. Kiran Patil, warmly felicitated the chief guests Mr. Shivanand Namdev and Mrs. Preeti Namdev. The chief guest then delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of Independence Day to Indians, motivating everyone with their words.

The program continued with a melodious patriotic song performed by the choir groups of Grade III to V, a captivating skit titled "Patriotism in Modern India," and vibrant dance performances by students from various classes such as Grade II to V. Each performance was a testament to the students' love for their country.

After the performances, Principal Ma'am, Ms. Niti Jonathan, addressed the students with a few inspirational words. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shatabdi Shinde. She expressed her humble gratitude towards the chief guests, Principal Ma'am, Vice Principal Sir, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff for their unwavering support for the success of this event. The program wrapped up with the rendition of Vande Mataram.

Following the program, students were escorted to their classes for the distribution of sweets.

A Special Assembly on 27th July, 2024 under the theme "Plastic Plastic Everywhere ". The students of Grade 9A presented a Skit on the topic 'Earth Day'. All the students participated enthusiastically and passionately and spoke about the need to cut down plastic usage and preserve our Mother Earth planet. The skit was presented in the form of a newsroom interview. Two students played the role of anchors and others played the roles of Seagull, Cow, turtle and a Human. At the end of the skit, the students took a pledge to stop the usage of non essential plastic and preserve the planet. Overall , it was an inspiring Assembly wherein the students understood the grave issue of plastic pollution. An inspiring Child asked a question to the Vice Principal Sir. Respected Principal Mam also motivated the students to avoid the use of plastic in their day to day life.

All the students were guided by Ms. Sahana Shettigar under the supervision of the event coordinator, Ms. Chetna Mam.

Podar International School, #Pathardi hosted a teacher training program titled "Symphony of Learning: Creating Harmony in the Classroom.

"The training was conducted under the guidance of respected Principal Ms. Niti Jonathan and Vice Principal Mr. Kiran Patil. Ms. Lydia Gomes from Podar Innovation Centre, Parel Mumbai, served as the training resource person. The program featured Inquiry Based Learning with informative sessions on the various topics such as classroom strategies, active supervision, using non-verbal cues, student navigation, and the implications of corporal punishment.

The training concluded with a feedback session led by the teachers. This training is crucial for teachers to enhance their methodologies, ensuring the best learning experience for students.

The Culmination Event started with ribbon cutting and worship of Maa Saraswati by the hands of Principal Ms. Niti Jonathan and Vice Principal Mr Kiran Patil.

On the occasion of the Culmination event of 'Comics Verses Extravaganza' under the Theme Ink and Imagination. Students Showed their creative ideas and knowledge through various media. Posters and models, puzzles, puppet shows, different paintings and comic books are some of them.

Parents also showed their hidden talents by participating in the event through their art work.

Our trinity students presented a beautiful skit 1. What does rain mean to me? and 2. Who took the cookie?

Grade I to VIII Students performed a dance based on the theme Comics. Students Dressed as comic characters and presented themselves. The classes and corridors were beautifully decorated. All the parents and students participated with lots of Zeal and enthusiasm. The purpose of the special event was to make the students aware of the comic characters' history and contribution to the world of comics. Students understood the importance and contribution of comics. It helps the kids to develop skills in storytelling, writing, vocabulary, reading skills, and self-expression.

Empowering Safety and Awareness: PoSH and POCSO Training at Podar International School, Pathardi.

Podar International School, #Pathardi conducted, An essential training session for the entire staff on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The session was led by our dedicated counsellor, Ms. Mrunal More.

Ms. Mrunal delivered an in-depth and engaging workshop, emphasizing the following critical points:

1. Understanding PoSH: Definition, scope, and significance of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act.
2. Identifying Harassment: Recognizing different forms of sexual harassment in the workplace and educational institutions.
3. Legal Framework and Compliance: Overview of legal obligations and the processes involved in filing complaints and conducting inquiries under PoSH.
4. Creating a Safe Environment: Strategies for fostering a safe and respectful environment for all staff and students.
5. Awareness of POCSO Act: Detailed explanation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, its provisions, and its application within the school setting.
6. Mandatory Reporting: Responsibilities of school staff in reporting incidents of child sexual abuse.
7. Preventive Measures: Developing and implementing effective policies and protocols to prevent harassment and abuse.
8. Support Systems: Providing support and resources for victims of harassment and abuse.

The training was interactive, with staff participating in discussions and activities designed to enhance their understanding and ability to apply these crucial laws and policies. By the end of the session, our staff felt more equipped to handle and prevent incidents of sexual harassment and abuse, ensuring a safer and more supportive environment for everyone at Podar International School, Pathardi.

An Investiture ceremony is an official celebration of students’ installation to their duties for leading the fellow students as their representative in school. Podar International School, Pathardi organised an Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Year 2024-25.

The council members were elected through democratic elections held earlier in the school. The school was ready for one of the most significant programs in the year where all the students, teachers and parents were to witness the fabulous event. The School Council Members were given the badges and sashes by the chief guest of the event The Principal, PIS, Pathardi. The Principal, Vice Principal, Coordinators as well as parents bestowed the honour on the School Leaders. The office bearers swear in of responsibility, leadership, teamwork and loyalty. It was the most spectacular event to see the school leaders marching in their newly adorned sashes and caps. It followed by the enthralling band troop performance and an enchanting dance show by the students.

The event culminated with Podar Song and Vande Mataram and with the hope of fostering the good citizenship, sense of responsibility and exceptional humanitarian values among the students.

A Special Assembly on World Environment Day. Mrs.Shahida , our esteemed anchor, extended a warm welcome to all students, setting a positive tone for the celebration.She delivered a brief yet impactful introduction, emphasizing the importance of World Environment Day and its significance in promoting environmental awareness and action.

The Science Department presented a captivating skit titled ‘Mother Earth's Courtroom’ creatively depicting environmental challenges and advocating for sustainable solutions. The skit received accolades for its thought-provoking content and stellar performances.

All attendees took a solemn pledge to uphold environmental conservation efforts, pledging to this World Environment Day celebration was a resounding success, fostering awareness, inspiration, and action towards building a sustainable future for generations to come.

Science Star - Environment awareness activity was organized by the Science department, aiming to engage students in creative thinking and awareness-raising about environmental conservation. Participants were encouraged to craft compelling slogans or suggest effective ways to conserve nature, fostering a sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship.

Parent Orientation Program for Grade I to X std parents & students, led by Vice Principal Mr. Kiran Patil under the guidance of Honourable Principal Ms. Niti Jonathan Mam. All the coordinators such as Sec.School Co-Ordinator Ms. Nandini Pillewar , Middle School Coordinator Mr. Vikash Yadav Sir, Primary School coordinator Mrs. Amrutha valli Mam, Yearleaders Mrs. Priya Kesarkar Mam, Mrs. Amrita Trivedi Mam and Mrs. Shatabdi Shinde Mam contributed actively to discuss the school system, policies of the school, academic and extracurricular activities with the parents. In this orientation, parents asked their doubts about students' studies and exams. Respected vice principal Mr. Kiran Patil reviewed and solved all the queries of the parents. He addressed the parents and convinced them to be diligent about the academics and 21st century skills of their children and to cherish the time they have in their life. This parents orientation program proved to be really beneficial. The parents orientation program ended with a positive note i.e The collective responsibilities of the teachers and parents for the holistic development of the students will bring success and values in their life.

Appreciation is the best motivation. The school organised a program to felicitate and appreciate the CBSE Grade X students for their huge success in Board examination as the school achieved 100% result in the exam. It was a historic moment for the school as this is the first batch passing the school that too all with flying colours. All Grade X students and their parents were present for the same. There was joy, enthusiasm and cheerful atmosphere in the school today. The students were felicitated and dignified with a small bouquet of roses and a greeting card. Principal Ms. Niti Jonathan, Vice Principal Mr. Kiran Patil and all grade X teachers did the honour of congratulating the children. Few students as well as Principal ma’am addressed the gathering. The Principal expressed her overwhelming feelings to the students. It was a proud and unprecedented moment for the school for sure.

A 3 day Science Boot Camp programme is arranged at Podar International School Pathardi from 30th May to 1st June. The three day workshop is organised under the guidance of Principal Ms.Niti Jonathan and Vice Principal Mr. Kiran Patil. Ms. Neetu Sharma and Ms. Savita Jadhav served as trainers for the Science Boot Camp. Podar Deolali, Pathardi, Ojhar, along with Jalgaon teachers participated in this programme.

The Day 1 of the Boot Camp focused on topics like -

1. Professional development and growth mindsets.
2. Generating a Scientific Temper and developing scientific skills.
3. Education of science by using games, tasks, puzzles and assessments.
4. Building Integration and real life connects.

Podar group of schools organized a 1 day Teacher training programme at Podar International Pathardi campus on 28th April 2024.

The one day workshop was organised under the guidance of the Principal of Pathardi school Ms. Niti Jonathan Ma'am and was in collaboration with the Central Board of secondary education Pune. Podar Pathardi, Deolali, along with Vivekanand English School, Jalna teachers participated in a one day training workshop.

The workshop focused on topics on Value Education and techniques to use values of education in accordance with the New Education Policy 2020 headed by the resource persons as Ms. Bhavisha Hirani and Dr. Manohar Mahajan.

In this training workshop teachers would be trained through Mentorship Programmes to nurture ethical reflection, values clarification and behaviour modification among their students in a number of ways. In these classroom experiences would develop in them, a storehouse of moral examples to guide them, viz, the special love and a sense of duty to their parents and families, friends and others within and outside, but related to their sphere of life importance of honesty and trust in human relationships.

By the end of the session the teachers were able to know about 5 step approaches like Knowing, Making judgments, Believing , Action , Internalization.

Lastly the session was concluded by a feedback session by teachers.

Podar International School, #Pathardi observed the ceremony of World Dance day.

“There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.”

Dance is a form of creative expression through physical movement that includes rhythmic movements that accompany music. The day was celebrated in PIS Pathardi with full enthusiasm. Students of grade VI - Rajguru presented the special assembly with an awesome dance performance.

In the beginning of the program the dance teachers of the school Ms. Shweta and Miss. Dnyaneshwari performed a devotional and fabulous dance performance. The dance experiences include choreographing, viewing, and analyzing the steps. All the students have enjoyed the moments with the various energetic songs.

Principal of the school Ms. Niti Jonathan motivated and encouraged the students as well as teachers to take part in the celebration.

Field Trip at Sarvajanik Vachanalay and Museum, Tilak Road, Shalimar, Nashik.

The students of Grade VI to VIII of Podar International School,Pathardi , Nashik visited Sarvajanik Vachanalaya and Museum, Tilak Road,Shalimar,Nashik On 26/04/2024 where a large number of books were available for reading and purchasing.

An antique Museum was also there. Students were taken there too for the visit. They collected lots of information about ancient things from the Museum.The visit was a unique experience for the students as they got to learn about more types of books and ancient things. Children were very happy and excited to visit such a huge Library and Museum.A Librarian Ma'am explained about different sections and books available there. She also explained and showed the book of Indian Constitution. Students asked their quarries and tried to gain more knowledge about it.

This Field Trip was indeed an informative and a great learning experience.

Podar International School, Pathardi conducted a Special Assembly on Friday, April 12 to mark the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's Jayanti on April 14th. The students of Grade 9A participated enthusiastically and spoke about Dr Ambedkar's contribution to our Nation. Students shared Facts about Dr Ambedkar, acted in a skit where they played the role of journalists and interviewed a young Babasaheb Ambedkar to know more about his life journey, challenges and inspiration. A student also enacted Dr Ambedkar and shared his vision for the country while framing the Constitution. On the whole, it was an informative and inspiring Assembly where the students gained insights on the life of our Nation's visionary Leader.

The school reopening ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 took place on 4th April, 2024 with great enthusiasm and excitement. All teachers and staff members along with respected principal mam Ms. Niti Jonathan made special efforts to welcome the students and create an inspiring atmosphere. The school premises were beautifully decked up to welcome the students. The school held a special assembly where the principal mam addressed the students and motivated them for a happy n prosperous and successful journey ahead. All the class teachers introduced themselves and students looked charming and energetic to start their new journey of a new class . Hence, the entire day was very fruitful along with the dispersal of the students. Here are some glimpses of it.

It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. Since those early years, International Women's Day has assumed a new global dimension for women in developed and developing countries alike.

The celebration was enjoyed by all the teachers and students, Students of grade 6th Rajguru performed a Dance based on different roles and responsibilities of women. The students also gave the speech on this special occasion.

Principal Miss Niti Jonathan felicitated the chief Guest Mrs. Vimal Kashinath Swami Wasmatkar who is spreading the awareness of plastic ban and distributing the stitched cloth bags free of cost to all the people.

Fire can be a very good friend and an evil enemy at the same time. There are instances where fire has taken the shape of a monster and caused immense damage to both life and property.

It is thus important for all of us to know how to tackle a fire and train ourselves to be ready for any mishap or accident caused by a fire. In this session students grade 8 learnt about fire extinguishers. They also learnt to use this fire extinguishers to put off the fire. A special thanks to Admin Mr. Sameer Jadhav who guided students about fire extinguishers.

The event was started by lamp lighting and worshiping Maa Saraswati. Mr. Narendra Sitaram Yeolelar, retired person & HOD of Gokhale Education Society was the chief guest.

He emphasized the need to go beyond textbooks and imbibe the knowledge from all the spheres for the overall development.

On the occasion of ‘National Science day’ there were fancy dress , models making and projects of Science & Maths competitions. More than 100 students participated in all events. Students were shown their creative ideas and knowledge in posters and models.

Our trinity students presented a beautiful skit on the Subject of Space Quest: Journey of Chandrayaan 3 and also the art & craft department took tremendous effort to make this event more impressive and successful by their presentation. Fresh ideas in a competition got an opportunity to win prizes on the occasion.

27 Feb is observed every year as a Marathi Bhasha Diwas in Maharashtra. We celebrate this to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.

As we know this day is chosen to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar popularly known as "Kusumagraj". In Podar International School all the teaching staff and the students attended the program. The event proceeded with some of our students presenting programs on the Marathi dialects and traditional Costume. Students told the history of Marathi language and presented a beautiful Marathi poetry and scintillating dance performance.

On this occasion students also gave the message of environmental protection. Celebrating a language Day is indeed a very good medium for language awareness.

The Parivartan Drive rally started from school to Damodar Nagar, near Radisson blue, Pathardi, Nashik. Some of the teachers participated in this rally along with our respected Principal ma’am.

Grade VI students performed in a street drama ( Nukkad Natak) on the topic of The ripples of kindness. Through this street play children conveyed the message of kindness,self love & how to help people. And also gave the message of humanity that buying things from street vendors can help them in their livelihood.

Grade VII students also asked some questions to the people of that area and they answered very happily. The students showcased and took part in the drive on creating awareness about leading a stress free life with kindness. The students conducted the campaign and performed live music performances(Rap song) along with slogans.

This was a program to instill a sense of our duty towards the society and compassion towards the needy people.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the founder of the Maratha kingdom of India. As we know, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary has a great significance in Maharashtra.

Our School celebrated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti with great pomp and show.
Children gave speeches on this occasion and danced to the songs of Shivaji Maharaj.
Powada’ is a genre of Marathi poetry that emerged during the late 17th century in India.This includes descriptions of heroic deeds by great kings.

Our students presented Powada very beautifully as well.

Grade 6 students dressed up in different traditional costumes like Jijamata, Shivaji Maharaj’s Ashtapradhan mandal, Tanaji Malusare , Bajirao Peshwa , Hirkani etc. Students also gave information about the work and importance of Ashtapradhan mandal.

We all celebrated this day with great enthusiasm.

The students of grade I to IX celebrated Family day in various ways on 14 Feb 2024. Grade I to II students' parents performed different activities in front of their children and teachers. Seeing this grade I & II students mustered up the courage to perform on stage.

Grade III to V were asked to make any gift or card for their parents in the classroom. Children understood the importance of relationships by making gifts and they showed their love on this day.

Grade VI to IX students' parents were invited to school. Children honoured their parents by applying tilak on them and they thanked their parents for everything.

Seeing this, teachers,parents and students all got emotional. Everyone expressed their views and love with each other on this Family day.

It was indeed an excellent day to strengthen mutual relationships.

Students wrote Anucched in a creative way using the given key points. Some of them mentioned all the qualities of their best friend. Students tried to write everything about their friends which they really appreciate.

"Introduction And Information About Flute holding and Blowing"

Before playing flute, introduction of Flute and types of Flutes was given, just to understand holding and blowing techniques.

Then students were taught how to hold, how to play the flute so that students will get clear idea about flute basics in future.

To play Flute it's very important to know the clear technique to handle and blow. Thus the activity was conducted on Straight Flute. Students were asked to perform group wise so that they will get to know it practically. Students' active participation and energy to learn something new was amazing.

Expression of your emotions, feelings as well as ambitions is a skill. It gives an idea of controlling one’s emotions and expressing them appropriately. Here at PIS, Pathardi the students had an activity of expressing themselves. The students of grade 1 and 2 presented their favourite personality’s traits and features through an act. The students from grade 3 and 4 were to write an imaginary conversation meeting their favourite personage. Similarly the grade 5 and 6 students wrote an autobiography of an object which was a companion of famous personalities in the world. Grade 7 and 8 had the experience of a podcast of an interview of a significant person. All the students took part in the activity wholeheartedly. They displayed their creative, linguistic and presentation skills. It filled them with confidence and gave them the idea of a third person’s perspective about the same incident which they have witnessed.

Teacher took water in a beaker and heated it slowly on a tripod stand. Students observed it carefully then written this a notebook as a notes.

Surya Namaskar is the combination of many asanas.To highlight the importance of the same and its advantages for health, every year Surya Namaskar Day is celebrated with the challenge of increasing numbers per year in Podar International School, Pathardi. This year the students as well as the teachers performed 81 Surya Namaskar. The significance of each asana was underlined to the students for the benefit of their health.

To build excitement and interest among the students about the upcoming theme, ‘Significant People’, the 'Jumpstart event' activities were conducted in school on Friday. Students from all grades took part in it. These activities were designed to surprise the students, evoke their imagination and engage them in the upcoming theme from the start. It also provided a common platform so that every student has some experience to draw from, as he/she progresses through the unit. Grade 1-4 had ‘I want to be the next….’ activity. Students pasted the pictures of the leaders in the country as well as abroad who are their idols.

For grade 5 and 6, ‘I am good at…’ activity in which the students wrote their talent or skill on a piece of paper and stuck the same on a chart paper. Grade 7 and 8 students had ‘My dream ambition in life’ and ‘My star qualities’ activity. In this the students wrote their ambitions on small papers and stuck the same on a chart paper in the class.

The students were work in groups to complete the Worksheet -

‘Types of Cloth’ which requires them to identify and categorize the different swatches of cloth to the respective columns depending upon the qualities written for each on the worksheet.

Theme of the unit:
Students summarised their learning by making the different pattern with the helpful of matchsticks.

There was Makar Sankranti celebration in the school. The festival was ceremonialized with great enthusiasm and happiness. There was an air of ecstasy and joviality throughout the school. The students were clad in colourful costumes. Fun mode was on. In the assembly the students of grade VII presented a skit on dangers in kite flying and precautions to be taken. They also had a dance performance on kite flying. There was an arrangement of Pooja of Makar Sankranti where the new harvest was offered to God. The kite bearing the name of PIS was flying proudly in the sky. Students from different grades had varied activities. Grade 1 made the flower garlands where grade 2 students drew the kites and coloured them beautifully. While grade 3 students were making the kites, the grade 4 was busy making jewellery from Halwa. Grade 5 decorated pots whereas students of grade 6 made beautiful rangoli with grains. Grade 7 superbly drew grain rangoli with different kinds of grains and grade 8 did vegetable decoration in a creative way. It was indeed a great day for students when they could learn,create, demonstrate, enjoy and express.

The school had the culmination of the theme Mythbusters. Under this theme the students were educated about the myths, legends. They also explored the history, traditions, beliefs & customs of various communities and countries across the world. This event provided an opportunity to the students to come and present their knowledge which helped them to enhance their confidence to become effective communicators.

The students of Grade 1-5 characterized ancient legends like Hanuman, Krishna; historical legends as Savitribai Phule, Ahilyabai Holkar; contemporary as Harry Potter; as well as cartoon characters like Doraemon, Superman, Batman, Spiderman, fairies.

There was also a ramp walk of Grade 1 and 2 students where they dressed up as cute little princesses and superheroes. It was really eye-catching.

In Grade 6-8, the students presented a skit on different incidents from ancient history or mythology. They too had a wonderful show and pieces of entertainment. The students even have shown creativity in the historical or ancient plays. Few had the futuristic journey as well.

It was really interesting to see Hanuman visiting today’s school classrooms and enjoying the moment and many more. It was indeed a spectacular view at school during the event. It was the students who demonstrated their creativity and artistry. Many more to come next…

The school functions are part and parcel of the co-curricular activities. Out of all the events held every year at School, Annual function is the vital event by which the students get a chance to display their talents in front of a big audience. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their co-curricular achievements. The Annual Day weaves around the theme "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj." Mr. Avinash Lohar principal PIS, Pathardi graced the event as the Chief Guest. Wing commander Sameer Wagale general manager of PIS Nashik also presided the function as the Guest of honour.Different performances were given by the students through dances, play and many other activities. The overall show displays the coordination and cooperation of students and staff members which bring praise to the school. Grade IV to IX students showcased the events of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life. The program started with students entertaining the audience with their adorable dance and drama performances which impressed the audience beyond expectations. The program ended with the grand Rajabhishek.

Podar International school, Pathardi organised its Annual Cultural Evening on 1st December 2023. The entire show was based on the theme ‘Krishna Kathayein’ which was beautifully manifested through evocative dance drama. Dr Manohar Mahajan graced the event as the Chief Guest.Besides the distinguished gathering of the school students also lent a charm to the occasion with their gracious presence.The whole ambience was imbued with the hues of tradition, devotion and gaiety. The programme commenced with the Lighting of the lamp ceremony followed by the School Anthem. The little cherubs left everyone enthralled with their Stellar dance performance portraying Krishna’s childhood and maternal bond . The ‘Govardhan Parvat’ enactment explicated a message to be sensitive towards nature and ‘Kaalia Mardhan’ showcased the Baal Leela of the Supreme Lord signifying the victory of good over evil.The parents were proud of the little ones and appreciated the school’s endeavour in training them exquisitely.The Principal applauded the efforts made by the staff and the students in putting up such a delightful show.The event concluded with the grand finale.

PIS Pathardi witnessed it's *5th Annual Sports Day* on 4th November 2023, successfully with great enthusiasm and determination.

Sports day enhanced the values of success in life. It led the students to develop dedication, confidence, leadership, team work and commitment.

The most anticipated event of the year was commenced with the welcoming of Chief guest - *Maj.Vikrant Kawale and DSO Officer Arvind chaudhari* . Principal Niti Jonathan took the oath ceremony with the Head boy, Head girl and house captains.

The march past and presentation of Band troop made an impressive display.

Valuable words of the Chief guest encouraged and cheered up the students.

It was followed by Ganesh Vandana, Sports drills, Karate, Athletic and fitness demos.

Final rounds of different sports activities like running race, sack race, cone race, hurdle race, relay race were conducted. The winners were awarded with medals and certificates.

The most awaited Dragon show was enjoyed by all the spectators in the stadium with loads of applause.

Navaratri is an annual Hindu festival observed in honour of the goddess Durga, an aspect of Adi Parashakti, the supreme goddess.

It often ends with the Dussehra (also called Vijayadashami) celebration on the 10th day. In some parts of India, Dussehra is considered a focal point of the festival, making it effectively span 10 days.

This auspicious occasion was celebrated enthusiastically by Podar International, Pathardi Grade 1 to 10 students were glad to celebrate the day. They enjoyed playing Garba with their friends. Students looked beautiful in traditional dresses. Our dance teacher taught khalasi dance to all the students. They enjoyed following dance steps taught by dance teacher.

The main focus of the special feature is to create awareness about the International Year of Millets 2023. This is an initiative by the United Nations to bring millet back into people's daily diets. Millets are highly sustainable crops that can grow in harsh weather conditions, making them an inexpensive crop to grow. This greatly benefits the farming community too.

Students in grades 1 and 2 learned to identify millets from other grains on day 1. They enjoyed dancing to the tune of "Chal Bharat uth Bharat" on day 2.

Students in grades 3 and 4 observed pictures of millets and discovered their geographical location and traditional use on day 1. They were encouraged to bring millet in their lunch boxes on day 2.

Students in grades 5 and 6 observed this day by understanding the benefits of millet in their diet. They watched a video informing them about the benefits of millets and how they can add millets to their daily lives. They solved a riddle on day 1 and prepared a salad with millet on day 2.

Students in grades 7 and 8 watched a video highlighting the importance of millets. They drew a graph of the calcium content in millets in one day.

Knowing the health benefits of millets, students were encouraged to add millets to their diet on day 2.

Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and is one of the three national holidays. In the beginning of the program the school co ordinator, Ms. Nandini Pillewar offered a prayer with garland.

Students of grade 5 bestow the speech on Gandhiji's most important legacy, and his role in creating a culture of peace, in proving the effectiveness of non-violence non-cooperation, and drawing the world's attention to the gap between what we do, and what we are capable of doing.

All the students have taken an oath to improve the skills and behave as a responsible citizens and will follow the principles of Gandhiji. So here are some of the glimpses of program.

Hindu tradition states that Ganesha is a god of wisdom, success and good luck. He is also the giver of different types of favors. On this occasion the students of grade 2-Orange showed their love and affection of dearest God. Ganesha is prominently known as the remover of obstacles so students started the function by saying some shlokas to please the God. God Ganesha is also known as elephant-headed god of beginnings, who is traditionally worshipped before any major endeavor.

So students even sung the melodious song on this occasion. Shiva placed the head of the elephant on Goddess Parvati's son and brought him back to life. Parvati then asked the gods to bless her son, and so he became the god Ganesh, god of wisdom and good fortune. All this information students presented by the fantabulous dance and skit performance.

The program was concluded by the Quiz related to Ganesha and his information, likes, family, and the basic knowledge.

The Hindi Diwas, celebrated on 14th September every year, is a way to cherish Indian culture and pay respect to the Hindi language. It was decided by the Constitution on 14th September 1949 to make Hindi the national language of India.

Students of grade 5th to 8th express the gratitude towards Hindi language by saying the Hindi prayer,also they read and explained the "Kabir's Dohe". Students of grade 8 presented the dance on 'Hindi Bhasha Rashtra ki Bhasha' and sung the song based on Hindi Language. Students also prepared and expound the names of hindi writers, the importance of Hindi language, and the reasons to spread awareness about it. By celebration the day overall surrounding was involved in Hindi tenderness. So here are some glimpses of the day.
