The event began with a warm welcome followed by the Annual Report, highlighting key academic achievements, co-curricular milestones, and institutional progress during the academic year. The Prize Distribution Ceremony honoured students from Grades 1 to 10 for their consistent performance and all-round excellence.
The Principal’s Address reflected on the school’s growth journey and reiterated its commitment to value-based, concept-oriented education.
The cultural segment featured Karnataka Vaibhava – “Punyakodi”, celebrating regional heritage, followed by the main thematic presentation “Tenali Rama – A Witty Court Jester”, where students brought alive the wit, wisdom, and moral intelligence of Tenali Rama through engaging skits and dances, aligning seamlessly with the academic year’s theme.

A mock fire drill was conducted on 12th December 2025 to reinforce emergency preparedness. The building was safely evacuated in 2 minute 04 seconds, and all students gathered at the assembly point. A headcount was taken, and safety instructions were shared.
Grade 7 students stepped into the shoes of architects and engineers in the Design Lab as they designed and built their own Bridges!
Using simple materials, they sketched, constructed, and decorated sturdy 3D structures while learning about balance, design, and problem-solving. A perfect blend of creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning!
Podar International School, Mangalore conducted the PTAEC Meeting on 6th December 2025. The meeting began with a review of the minutes from the previous PTAEC session. The Principal shared the key achievements of the academic year and discussed proposals for the upcoming year, including extending the canteen facility to all students and the revised fee structure.
An introduction proposal for creating a Treasurer post in the PTAEC was also presented. The meeting concluded with addressing and resolving the concerns shared by parents, ensuring continued collaboration between the school and parent community.

National Constitution Day was observed at Podar International School, Mangalore on 26th November 2025 with utmost respect and patriotic spirit. Students took the Constitution Day Pledge in Kannada, Hindi, and English, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of the nation.
They were introduced to the salient features of the Indian Constitution, its importance for India’s democratic future, and the legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly.
As a special initiative, Principal Mr. Girish Kumar presented copies of the Constitution to all Class Teachers and Class Council Members, which will be preserved in each classroom as a symbol of commitment to democratic values.

The special assembly brought to life a thoughtful and heart-warming skit titled “The Magic Bench”, beautifully reinforcing the importance of slowing down and appreciating the world around us.
The performance followed a gentle and wise grandfather, the central character, who encountered two children with contrasting outlooks—one cheerful and carefree, the other busy and slightly anxious. Through simple conversations and meaningful moments shared on the “magic bench,” the grandfather guides them to understand the value of being present, observing their surroundings, and cherishing life’s simple joys.
The skit highlighted that in the midst of our fast-paced routines, life becomes richer when we pause, reflect, and remain grateful for the present moment. The message resonated deeply with students, reminding them that calmness, joy, and mindfulness are essential parts of a balanced and fulfilling life.

The Silent Epidemic: Social Media Addiction among Youth (BWC) recently organized a session titled "The Silent Epidemic: Social Media Addiction among Youth," conducted by Dr. Krithi Neerpady K from the Department of Kayachikitsa at Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College. The session aimed to shed light on the growing concern of social media addiction among young people and its impact on their mental and physical well-being.

Students attended an insightful session by Ms. Farhat Kunder on Pro-Teen and 21st Century Skills, focusing on adaptability, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication.

An Oral Health Camp was successfully conducted at our school on 20th August 2025 by dental specialists from AJ Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore.
The camp created awareness among students about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. Students also received useful tips and guidance for keeping their smiles healthy and bright. An awareness session was also taken by them giving insights on 'general oral health and health hazards of sugar'.

To honor the dedicated service of the ITBP soldiers, our young Podarites prepared handmade greeting cards, heartfelt notes of appreciation, and crafted Indian flags, which they proudly presented to the soldiers.
The visit not only filled the children with joy and excitement but also deeply inspired them with the values of patriotism, gratitude, and social responsibility. A mock fire drill was conducted on 7th July 2024 to reinforce emergency preparedness. The building was safely evacuated in 1 minute 57 seconds, and all students gathered at the assembly point. A headcount was taken, and safety instructions were shared. Students also witnessed demonstrations on using fire extinguishers and the blanket rescue method. It was a valuable hands-on learning experience

On 21st June 2025, Grade 10 students visited Asare animal care trust for the monthly donation drive.
Students from each class contributed to this noble cause by bringing specific materials needed for the animals. They shared some pet essentials like feed, medicines etc and left with hearts full of joy as part of the Podar Volunteer Programme 2025-26!
On 21st June 2025, Grade 9 students from Podar International School Mangalore visited Balasamrakshana Kendra, Kuthar, for their monthly donation drive. As part of the Podar Volunteer Program 2025-26, students from all the classes contributed specific grocery items allocated to each class. They left with hearts full of joy, having shared generously and embraced the spirit of giving !
With the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health", the school celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and energy!
The event was graced by the esteemed guests from the Art of Living Foundation – Mr. Dayananda, senior artist and faculty member; Ms. Amitha Sudhir, Cranio-Sacral Therapy Practitioner and District Coordinator; and Ms. Kalpa Bhat, certified yoga instructor.
A refreshing mass yoga session was conducted by the guests, guiding students and staff through postures, breathing techniques, and mindful movement.
The celebration also featured individual and house-wise group yoga competitions, showcasing flexibility, focus, and the spirit of healthy living.
The Investiture Ceremony was held with great pride and solemnity, marking the official formation of the Student Council for the academic year. Badges and flags were conferred, and the council members took an oath to carry out their duties with dedication and integrity.
Integrated Learning Programme: Special Assembly - Podar International School, Mangalore conducted an ILP special assembly on the theme "Media Unmasked: Truth, Tricks and Trends" with the focus "Meet India’s Advertising Gurus."
Students showcased the impact of media and advertising through creative role-plays, promoting media awareness and critical thinking.
As part of the Jumpstart Activity, students enthusiastically participated in a range of engaging tasks that sparked curiosity and set the tone for the new module. Podar International School marked World Environment Day with a special assembly led by the Scouts and Guides. The event included the inauguration of the Medicinal Plants Project, promoting awareness of traditional healing practices.

Podar International School Mangalore Honors Community Helpers by organizing a heartwarming event titled "Thanksgiving to Community Helpers," aimed at recognizing and appreciating the selfless contributions of individuals who serve the community daily.
During the event, former municipal member Mr. Kiran Kumar Kodikal was the chief guest. While speaking, he emphasized the vital role of municipal workers in keeping our city clean, well-maintained, and providing a healthy environment. He appreciated the unique event organized by Podar School and hoped that it would serve as a model for everyone.
He also expressed his gratitude, saying that organizing a thank-you event for the community helpers during his five years of service and participating as a guest to honor them was commendable. He praised Podar School for organizing such a meaningful event.
A Grand Showcase of Talent and Patriotism
The much-anticipated Annual Day celebration, Spandan 2024-2025, was a grand and memorable event held with great enthusiasm. Graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. P Anantha Krishna Bhat, Guest of Honour, Ms. Anuradha Shivaram, and the guest, Mr. Suresh Mahalingpur, the event showcased the incredible talent and creativity of our students.
The event began with a welcome song followed by dance performances, the annual report presentation, and the prize distribution ceremony. The cultural performances mesmerized the audience, including Karnataka Vaibhava, a tribute to our state's rich heritage. The thematic presentation, "Tales of Freedom Struggle", featured powerful portrayals of valiant freedom fighters, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The audience was enthralled by the stunning finale dance. Adding to the festive atmosphere, a special Christmas Surprise Celebration brought joy and excitement, enhancing the day's vibrant spirit.
The program concluded with the soulful Podar Song and the National Anthem, leaving the audience filled with pride and unity.
