In this unit In My Town, our Grade II learners will explore and learn about their surroundings, different places in their town, community helpers who support us and various types of houses found in and around their town.

To begin this exciting journey, students participated in a fun and engaging Jumpstart Activity designed to spark curiosity and interest. As part of this, they created an “Around the Town Photo Wall” by pasting photographs of themselves, at their favourite places of their town.

This activity helped students connect personally with the theme while giving them a platform to share their thoughts and experiences. It was a joyful and interactive start that built confidence and set the tone for meaningful learning ahead.

Mr. Harish Chaube & Mr. Shivanand Rai - Fire Safety Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Igatpuri, explained the common causes of fire and gave a live demonstration on handling emergencies, including the correct use of fire extinguishers.

The drill was conducted systematically, ensuring safe evacuation of students to the open ground.

Micro Teaching session conducted by teachers of Podar International School #Igatpuri.

Micro teaching increases self-confidence, improves in-class teaching performances, and develops classroom management skills.

Micro Teaching is a teacher training and faculty development technique whereby the teacher reviews a recording of a teaching session, in order to get constructive feedback from peers and/or students about what has worked and what improvements can be made to their teaching technique.
