A teacher is the eternal guru and guide whose firm and loving grooming has shaped generations from times immemorial. A teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instill a love for learning. With a view to honor the hard work and determination towards the profession, Podar International School #Bhavnagar celebrated Teacher’s Day with great gusto and gaiety. The program began with a prayer, followed by a glimpse into Dr. Radhakrishnan’s life and the significance of Teacher’s Day in India.
After this, students of Podar International School #Bhavnagar surprised their teachers by performing scintillating acts such as dance, song, skit, and dressing up as their teachers. Students also organized various games for the teachers to show their love, respect, acknowledgment, and gratitude.
House competitions in schools hold significant value in fostering a sense of community, teamwork, and healthy rivalry among students. It encourages teamwork, develops leadership skills, and boosts school spirit. House competitions create a sense of belonging and school pride, encouraging students to support their peers and celebrate each other. It also fosters healthy rivalry and promotes a friendly and competitive environment, teaching students to win graciously and lose with dignity. It provides diverse opportunities and enhances communication skills.
The theme "Plastic Plastic Everywhere" aims to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic and save planet Earth by making effective and efficient use of plastic that doesn't harm the ecosystem. Students of Podar International School #Bhavnagar enthusiastically participated in the house competition and demonstrated various artifacts and best-out-of-waste products made from plastic, such as a giant house, Ganpati, man and woman figures, planters, fishes, robots, different shapes, a snake, tortoise, swans and ducks, elephants, giraffe, chairs, and tables.
Students exhibited and demonstrated their plastic projects and products, which inculcated values of leadership, critical and creative thinking skills, collaboration, and dexterity. They also showcased a fashion show featuring clothes made out of plastic.
Janmashtami holds a lot of significance for Hindus. It is one of the major festivals and is celebrated at midnight. Devotees of Krishna see him as a symbol of divinity, love, and righteousness. His life and teachings inspire devotees to lead a life based on dharma (righteousness), karma (action), and bhakti (devotion).As a part of Janmashtmi Celebration, Students of Podar International School #Bhavnagar enthusiastically participated into this embellishing and grandeur celebration. Many Students adorned clothes in the attire of Lord Krishna and Radha. Beautiful Canopy embedded with flowers and garlands was built up in which idol of lord Krishna was placed on a swing. Principal, School Staff and Students played Aarti and Worshipped Lord Krishna and Radha and the feather in the cap was Enactment of Vasudeva (Played by a teacher!)carrying little lord krishna placed in a basket on his head and Zealously All the students celebrated Birth of Krishna by participating into this festivity and Carnival in the form of Circumambulation(Garba!). Janmashtmi Celebration indeed was a memorable Festivity and Carnival in the school Campus!
