We celebrated Independence Day at our school with great enthusiasm and pride! The program began with our respected Principal Sir hoisting the flag, symbolizing our unity and patriotism.
This was followed by inspiring speeches:

Each speech highlighted the values and sacrifices that define our nation. Our 5th and 6th graders sang a beautiful patriotic song that resonated with everyone present, while the 7th and 8th graders captivated us with a dynamic dance performance. Dhyey performed a solo dance.
A special moment in the program was the felicitation of our dedicated teacher, who has completed 10 years of service. They were honored with a certificate, acknowledging their commitment and contributions to our school community.

The "Plastic Plastic Everywhere" jumpstart activity, conducted in school, aimed to enlighten students about the dynamics of plastic pollution and the life cycle of plastic, from its manufacturing to recycling. The initiative sought to foster an understanding of how changes in behavior among plastic users can address the plastic pollution problem. The theme encouraged students to adopt disciplined practices regarding plastic use and develop a sense of responsibility toward protecting the planet.

Our school recently hosted the "Unleashing Comic Superpowers" event, where students brought their favorite comic characters to life! From DC Comics legends like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, to Marvel icons such as Spiderman, Ironman, and Captain America, the creativity was boundless. We also saw beloved characters from Diamond Comics' Chacha Chowdhary and Tinkle Comics' Suppandi.
Students donned their costumes, shared insights into their characters' roles, qualities, and comic origins, and even recited famous dialogues and enacted iconic gestures. It was a day filled with fun, excitement, and a celebration of our favorite heroes!
Safety First at Podar International School Bhandara!
We take the safety of our students and staff seriously. We conducted our 3rd Mock Fire Drill on 10-10-2023 at 11:55 a.m., and we are proud to announce that all our children and teachers efficiently evacuated the building within 2 minutes and 35 seconds!
During the drill, we emphasized the importance of responding to the fire alarm promptly, running to the exit doors, and evacuating the building safely.
We also educated our students about emergency contact numbers.In addition, our students and staff received a fire extinguisher demonstration and training. Our principal and administrative officer demonstrated the use of water, sand, and other firefighting equipment to protect against fire. Everyone had the opportunity to observe the use of fire extinguishers and fire hose reels.
Moreover, we conducted an Emergency Bus Exit Drill involving our Transport and Housekeeping staff. Safety and preparedness are our top priorities.
Embracing the Goodness of Millets!
India is leading the charge in promoting the International Year of Millets 2023 as a 'People's Movement,' and our school is proud to be a part of it. From 25th to 26th September 2023, we organized 'Millet Days' where our students brought millet-based dishes like Barnyard Millet Pulao (Bhagar Pulao), Sorghum (Jowar Paratha), Finger Millet (Ragi Paratha,Ragi Laddu and Ragi Sheera) in their tiffins.
These two days were all about exploring the health benefits and deliciousness of millets. It's incredible to see our young minds embracing these nutritious grains with enthusiasm. Let's continue to spread awareness about the wonders of millets and make them a part of our daily lives!
Embracing the beauty of our diverse culture! Our school celebrated Hindi Divas with immense enthusiasm. Students from all grades showcased their talents by reciting captivating 'Kavitas' and 'Dohas' in Hindi. Our talented students paid homage to renowned Hindi poets by dressing as them and reciting their beautiful 'Kavitas' on this special occasion. Let the verses of Hindi literature resonate on this auspicious day.
The stage came alive with mesmerizing dance performances, and a thought-provoking skit on 'Netra Daan' left everyone inspired. Adding a fun twist, we tested our linguistic skills with English to Hindi word translations, creating laughter-filled moments.

On the 5th of September 2023, we came together to celebrate Teachers' Day in a heartwarming and memorable event. The program commenced with a humble tribute to the great Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan through the offering of flowers and the lighting of a ceremonial lamp. The entire event was orchestrated with meticulous planning and execution by our dedicated students.

Today, on Saturday, 2/9/2023, our school's young talents unleashed their creativity at the biggest BizKids Bazaar event! From stunning Mandala art to vibrant Gond art, intricate Manjusha art, and exquisite Indian art, they crafted a diverse array of beautiful handmade treasures.
Our esteemed Principal Mr. Mani Choubey inaugurated the event and imparted valuable wisdom to our young entrepreneurs. He guided them on how to effectively sell their products, convince their parents to make purchases, and present themselves confidently.

Reliance Mart Visit: First to Fourth Grade
Our enthusiastic first to fourth-grade students recently visited Reliance Mart to gain hands-on experience with real-life sales and purchases. During the visit, they were introduced to the process of product sales and purchases, including how product quantities are managed. The students were exposed to concepts such as making choices and budgeting as they explored different products available at the store.
This visit provided the students with valuable practical exposure to actual shopping situations, allowing them to apply their learning in a real-world context. Through this experience, they developed their decision-making skills and gained an early understanding of financial concepts.
IDBI Bank Tour: Fifth and Sixth Grade
Simultaneously, our Fifth and sixth - grade visited to IDBI bank for creating financial literacy among youngsters. Different banking processes and transactions such as opening of the bank account, crediting and debiting money from account, and cheque deposition were explained to students during day long visit.Having knowledge about bank functioning at an early age could be an advantage to students. They can develop the habit of saving at tender age. Financial literacy is key to sound future planning also.
