Podar International School CBSE organized an insightful session on Screen Time Management for parents and students on October 19 and 20, 2024.
The objective of the session was to address the challenges of managing screen time, especially with the rise in screen usage post-COVID. Excessive screen time can have a significant negative impact on both physical and mental health, contributing to issues such as eye strain, neck and shoulder pain, back pain, as well as mood disorders like anxiety and depression.
The session featured Dr. Ravikant Pinjarkar, a Clinical Psychologist from Bangalore, who addressed critical issues such as gadget addiction, anxiety, disturbed mental and social health, and declining academic performance.
Dr. Pinjarkar shared effective strategies for managing screen time, emphasizing the vital role of parental monitoring and involvement. At the end of the sessions, he addressed various queries from both parents and students, providing thoughtful and practical solutions. His responses helped clarify concerns and equip attendees with strategies for managing screen time effectively. The interaction fostered a supportive environment, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between parents, students, and educators in navigating digital challenges.
On the occasion of Navratri Utsav, Podar International School, CBSE, CS Nagar organized a Saraswati Pooja on 10th October 2024. The event began at 7 AM in the school's reception area, where a series of sacred rituals were conducted. The Mahaabhishek, aarti, and bhajan seva were part of the ceremony, led by teachers and the school choir.
The pooja was performed by the Chief Guest, Mr. Atul Gharat, General Manager of PIS Hub Schools CS Nagar, with the Guest of Honour being Principal of Sundarwadi, Mrs. Vaishali Joshi. School Principal Mr. Ravinder Rana, Vice Principal Mrs. Bhavna Joshi, Admin Officer Mr. Jignesh Jadhav, as well as all the teachers and staff members, attended and graced the occasion with their presence.

On October 4, 2024, Podar International School (CBSE) organized an inter-house competition with the theme "Plastic Plastic Everywhere." The competition saw participation from the four school houses: Aqua, Ignis, Terra, and Ventus. Each house prepared and presented two PowerPoint presentations, all based on the theme, aiming to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic use.
The competition's objective was to highlight the harmful impact of plastic on the environment, including its role in creating pollution, destroying ecosystems, and endangering aquatic flora and fauna. Through this initiative, students were encouraged to reflect on the importance of reducing plastic usage and promoting eco-friendly alternatives for a healthier planet.
The participating students not only gained valuable insights into the environmental issues surrounding plastic pollution but also developed important skills such as technological proficiency, confidence, and a sense of healthy competition. In the competition, Ventus House secured the first position, followed by Ignis House in second place, and Aqua House in third place. The 2nd of October is a day of profound significance for Indians as it marks the birth anniversaries of two iconic leaders, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. To pay homage to these revered figures, Podar International CBSE, School Chh. Sambhaji Nagar, organized a special assembly to commemorate their lives and teachings.
The program commenced with a heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by the school's Principal, Ravinder Rana, Vice Principal Ms. Bhavna Joshi, Event Incharge Ms. Gauri Dikshit, and the student body. Podar International CBSE School in CS Nagar celebrated the Ganapati Festival on September 7, 2024, with great pomp and show, marking the start of a ten-day celebration. The Ganpati Sthapana, or installation ceremony, was held in the school library, creating a festive and auspicious atmosphere.
The core council, including Head Boy Parth Pise and Head Girl Sneha Girdhari, along with the teachers, were present to witness and participate in the ceremony. The Ganapati Sthapana and pooja were performed by Mst. Samarth Jadhav and Mst. Dhaval, primary grade students who took part in this special ritual with great devotion.
The Art Department created stunning decorations for the occasion, transforming the space into a vibrant setting for the celebrations. The Ganapati idol was brought in with traditional dol tase and dance performances by the students, adding to the joyous spirit of the day.

Students from Grades 4, 5, and 6 will perform aarti every day throughout the festival, contributing to the ongoing reverence and joy of the occasion. The school-wide theme 'Plastic Plastic Everywhere' culminated with an event - 'Plastic Changemakers', organized by the students of Grade III to VIII and staff members of PIS CBSE Aurangabad.

Tiny toddlers Ms. Divisha Patidar and Ms. Ishita Muley, the shining stars, along with Vice Principal Ms. Bhavna Joshi and Event Coordinator Ms. Gauri Dikshit, inaugurated the event.
The purpose of the launch display was to attract the interest and enthusiasm of the entire school for the upcoming theme of ‘Plastic Plastic Everywhere! – Breaking the Plastic Spell’. It made the students think about the plastic waste generated by households and industries. This kind of display helped the students understand the amount of plastic we use in our daily lives.
The students showcased their work from the classroom and put up posters on various topics covered in the Integrated English sessions related to ‘Plastic Plastic Everywhere!’. However, with the increasing production and use of plastic, the issue of plastic waste and its impact on the environment has become a growing concern.
The school collected brief information and creatively displayed it on the corridor soft boards. They understood the basic principles of small businesses with their stalls around the school. A skit titled "Patriotism in Modern India" was performed by the students, showcasing the evolution of patriotism from the freedom struggle to the present day. Grade 6 girls presented a colorful dance on a patriotic number, whereas the boys presented a rhythmic March past. The program concluded with Vande Matram followed by a Vote of Thanks, where the efforts of the organizing team, students, and staff were acknowledged. The event, lasting approximately an hour, was a grand success, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and a deeper understanding of the significance of Independence Day.

The event was graced by Chief Guests Mr. Sujit Shukla, Head of the institute and Guest of Honour, Mr. Mobin Syed, founder member of Physics Vidyapeeth,The Principal welcomed these prominent guests.
During the ceremony, both the Chief Guest and the School Principal gave away momentos to these meritorious students and motivated them to excel further in their lives. The school recognized students who scored 90% or above in the exams from grades 8th to 12th.

Raising awareness of the environmental issue is very essential to save lives around us. The very name Mosquitoes raise an alarm in the human minds due to their infamous capability of annoying and spreading a wide array of lethal diseases that are highly dangerous for health and life processes.
To spread awareness about the different ways of protecting ourselves from these deadly insects, Podar International School CBSE, organized an assembly on the theme ‘World Malaria Day'. Students deliberated about the various causes of malaria symptoms and the methods to prevent it through an informative presentation which was shown to make students abreast of the diseases spread by mosquitoes. An anecdote was shared by the students of Grade IV Einstein. A the drill was endorsed regarding mosquito awareness and precautionary measures enticed everyone spreading the message judiciously. Voicing valuable slogans, the students elevated their voices to warn about the deadly disease. Energetic and enthusiastic students tried to cultivate and awaken awareness to get rid of the dangerous consequences of falling victims to Malaria.

Ram Navami falls on the Shukla Paksha Navami which is the ninth day of the Chaitra month and is also the culmination of Chaitra Navratri. Lord Ram was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya in Ayodhya. The festival also celebrates the descent of Vishnu as the Rama avatar. The day is significant as it marks the birth of Lord Rama, who is considered to be one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Lord Rama is believed to be an ideal human being and a symbol of truth, righteousness, and virtue. He is also known for his bravery, courage, and devotion towards his duty.
PIS CBSE chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Grade V students celebrated the festival with great joy and enthusiasm, depicting ram janmotsav with beautiful attire of the participants adding more glory to the event.
Gudi Padwa is a spring-time festival.
The word Gudi Padwa is made of two words - Gudi refers to the flag (garlanded with flowers, mango and neem leaves, topped with upturned silver or copper vessel) and padwa or padava or padavo comes from the Sanskrit word pratipada which refers to the first day of a lunar fortnight.
The festival of Gudi Padwa is observed with colourful floor decorations called rangoli, a special Gudi flag, street processions, dancing and festive foods.

The ‘Parivartan Drive’ is an initiative by the students of Podar Education Network, to generate a community awareness campaign on ‘Be the Change to Bring The Change’. The students of Podar International School, CBSE, Chh. Sambhajinagar worked to spread awareness about Self-love, Kindness, Acceptance and Seeking Support. The students’ attempt was to educate people that prioritizing ‘self’ is ‘not being selfish’. Taking care of oneself is as important as helping others to take care of themselves. The students made posters, placards, poems, quotes, slogans etc for this campaign.
Students' walkathon carried posters, placards, slogans and quotes to display important virtues about Self-love, Kindness, Acceptance and Seeking Support, was held on 6th March 2024 by Grade 6 and 7 students. This ‘Parivartan Drive’s’ movement was dedicated to empowering students to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others around them.
Good Luck Party and Farewell to Grade 10 and 12.
On 5th February, 2024 a Good Luck Party and Farewell to Grade 10 and 12 was arranged in PIS CBSE, CS Nagar. Former Mathematics TGT teacher Mr. Paramveer Singh Saggu was invited as a chief guest for the program. The program was highlighted with motivational speeches of chief guest, Principal Ravinder Rana, English Faculty Mrs. Geeta Kottur and Hindi faculty Mrs. Anuradha Konapure.
Program ended with felicitation of the core council and the title ceremony of Grade 10 and 12 Students followed by lunch.
Special assembly was 'Taj Mahotsav'. It is conducted by Grade VI Faraday under the guidance of Mrs. Lekha Nair. Students have presented a tiny demo of Taj Mahotsav to showcase the cultural heritage of India.They conducted a Quiz followed by Speech on the importance of Taj Mahotsav. Then cultural activities such as Group Song with Musical Instruments under the guidance of Mr. Yogiraj Sir , display and speech on art work such as Madhubani painting, Sketch of Great Personalities etc.. Students concluded the assembly with a fabulous dance performance . Students learned the importance of Taj Mahotsav and various cultural activities of India from the Assembly.

The event was honored by the presence of notable figures, including the respected Vaishali Joshi, Principal of Podar International School, Sunderwadi, and Dr. Raghuveer Y.N., the Principal of Podar International School (ICSE), Garkheda. World Mental Health Day celebrated with teachers in Podar International School.
Mental health is a crucial aspect of our well-being, and it is essential that we address this topic to create a supportive and understanding environment for all of us. In recognition of Mental Health day, Podar International School organised a workshop on October 10 for staff with an awareness for our mental well being and team building exercise among colleagues. The Theme for the year 2023 has been accepted as 'Mental health is a universal human right'. This workshop was conducted by school counsellor Ms. Pratiksha Gaikwad for the entire teaching fraternity and graced by Sir Principal Ravinder Rana who also participated enthusiastically.
The staff displayed a strong camaraderie and collaborated with one another sharing their own personal ideas on what would make them mentally strong. The counsellor conducted fun group activities for the staff in which they participated whole-heartedly. The agenda of working together as a team was joyfully followed in the session.
Teacher’s Day in India is celebrated every year on the 5th of September to honour the contributions of the teachers in our lives, society and country. 5th of September is the birth anniversary of the 2nd President of India, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was highly devoted to education and well known as a scholar, diplomat, and most importantly a Teacher.
The school celebrated the day with great pomp and show. Students paid their love and reverence towards their gurus by conducting a special assembly. The Principal highlighted the need for educators to concentrate on enhancing their interpersonal skills and adjusting to the changing nature of teaching profession in an AI-driven world if they want to stay relevant. At the same time he reiterated for a stronger bonding of teachers with students in a world of education led by Artificial Intelligence.
Teachers were felicitated with Outstanding Teacher Awards by the Principal. Ms. Farhana Asim, Ms. Geeta Saini and Mr. Firoz Pathan were the recipients of these awards for the Academic session 2023-24. The day culminated with games and dance for both teachers and students in their respective classrooms.
The ‘BizKids Bazaar’ was a great opportunity to involve the parents and the community. The school’s ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ module culminated into the ‘BizKids Bazaar’, organized by the students and staff members of the school within the school premises. This bazaar not only provide opportunities for the students to discover and explore their talents, dreams and abilities, but will also focus on showcasing their entrepreneurial efforts to the visitors.
Participation in such an event helped to apply and reinforce the students’ procured knowledge on business and entrepreneurship gained over the month while they made an effort to showcase and sell all the products that they had personally created. Organizing the ‘BizKids Bazaar’ was a wonderful way to reach out to the students’ parents and the local community in a way that will benefit everyone. This event aimed at entertaining everybody while providing the students with an opportunity to use their business management skills. The students understood the basic principles of small businesses with their stalls around the school. Parents, grandparents, siblings, relatives and friends were invited to experience and share in this unique event.
A zone called the ‘The Mandala Art Zone’,‘The Gond Art Zone’,‘The Manjusha Art Zone' and the ‘The Indian Arts Zone’ were created, demarcating the classrooms. The ‘Recreational Food stalls’ were set up by students in the school lobby and other common areas of the school visited by parents in multitudes. Delectable items were on the menu card and students themselves prepared and sold the items to the parents and visitors.
The event was enjoyed by all.
77th Independence Day was celebrated at Podar International School, CBSE Aurangabad with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm on 15th August, 2023.The celebration started with a welcome song “Lehra Do Tiranga” which was set by Mayuri Panse Kulkarni. The principal of the school, Mr. Ravindra Rana unfurled the flag and everybody sang our National Anthem. Students performed a skit on “What is Patriotism” they delivered the message through this skit that patriotism lies in small and day to day actions. The principal during his speech mentioned that if we want to bring change in the world: there are two ways, first by working at the top and second by working at the roots or bottom. He also said that children are the future of this nation. These children can bring the change which they wish to see by working hard and striving hard to achieve their goals in their life. Today’s youth will be the leaders of tomorrow. As teachers, parents we need to embed the sense of responsibility and patriotism among our children.The principal concluded his speech by saying that we should not restrict our patriotism only to selected occasions such as Independence Day but we should show our patriotism through our actions everyday.
The programme ended with a fantastic and mesmerizing dance performance on a patriotic theme “Kandho Se Kandhe Milte Hai To Dushman Ke Dil Hilte Hai”. Aryan Deshmukh offered a vote of thanks to everyone and sweets were distributed among the children after the programme ended.
In PIS, CBSE Girls welfare committee(GWC) & Boys welfare committee(BWC) organized two separate sessions on the topic ‘Development in girls and boys’ for Grades 9th & 10th on Tuesday 18th July 2023.These sessions were conducted by clinical psychologist and nutritionist Dr. Nidhi Mhaske from Chhtrapati Sambhaji nagar.
It was an interactive session for girls and boys with the following points. The session dwelt on the 4 aspects of life: physical, mental, social and spiritual. The resource person discussed the eating habits for adolescence and how Hygiene is essential for our body. There was a lot of discussion on Hormonal development in the body during puberty.
Overall sessions were informative and illuminating for students. They discussed various doubts with the resource person Dr. Nidhi Mhaske. She stressed on the need to make small and positive steps into our daily lives that can help build a healthy life routine.
The Investiture Ceremony 2023-24 successfully inducted the newly elected and selected members of the school’s prefectorial board on 11 July 2023. The ceremony started by lighting the lamp which signifies the removal of darkness and continuous upward movement of the flame denotes a path of wisdom and divinity.
Sashes were given and badges were pinned to the Newly formed Council – Head Boy Ajinkya Basaiye and Head Girl Ritvi Tribhuvan along with Sports Captain Boy and Sports Captain Girl by honourable Sir Principal. House Captain Boy and Girl and Vice Captain Boy and Girl were honoured by respective House Mentors by offering sashes and pinning of badges. Sir Principal administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed Board of Students’ Council, who swore to serve their Alma Mater with utmost sincerity and to the best of their abilities. He motivated the students by quoting Shiv Khera’s quote, “ Leaders don't do different things, they do things differently.” He also reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the School stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. He said that these students will be lawmakers, leaders, engineers, or doctors tomorrow. We have just given them the wings of leadership and they have got a chance to dream big and fly high in the sky. Future belongs to these young children who will one day, be the leaders of tomorrow.
The proud parents were also invited to witness the event. The programme was held under the guidance of Event coordinator Ms. Gauri Dikshit.
The school-wide theme 'TECH-IT-UP' culminated with an event - 'TECH-O-MANIA', organized by the students of Grade II to VIII and staff members of PIS CBSE Aurangabad.
This event showcased the changes in technology in today's time. Ms.Pratiba Jadhav who works for the Adult Education Programme along with the Principal Ravinder Rana inaugurated the event.
This event focused on how technology has moved into our lives and homes. The students showed and explained how technology has evolved, how we live today and how it may change in the future. The event gave the students an opportunity to display their understanding and knowledge of the impact of technology in our lives. The students displayed their work that was done in the classroom and put up posters on the different topics covered in the Integrated English session.
The school soft board displayed the history of technology in the context of the evolution of everything that fell under daily used technology, like the evolution of the telephone, computers, online safety, and transport and so on, which was used to create the display.
The students collected pictures of famous people and wrote brief information and creatively displayed it on the corridor soft-boards.
This year's International Yoga Day endeavors to connect with a larger global community, as India's G20 presidency theme “One World, One Health Resonates with the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.

Staff and children were taught the importance of Yoga in their life & how to maintain a harmony between body and mind.
The day came to conclusion with National Anthem and the students and teachers carried home the message that,

National technology Day celebration in the special assembly, conducted by class X B.
It is the technology that has improved the status of the country on global platforms. The day marks the importance of scientists and engineers in helping India achieve technological advancement and keeping pace with the scientifically advanced countries.
To showcase the same class X B students have performed an informative skit, a Quiz based on technology and briefed the children about the gadgets and gizmos. A word and thought related to technology added to their knowledge. It was a nice endeavor by the students for having expressed their views on the role of technology being indispensable in our day to day life.
A Felicitation Ceremony was conducted on the 10th of June 2023 at 8:30 am in the school premises for the successful outgoing Class X and XII students who had brought accolades in the AISSCE and AISSE Examination 2022-2023. The Felicitation Committee of the school under the valuable guidance of Sir principal Ravinder Rana conducted the ceremony. Mr. Jayant Charthankar hosted the event.
The Chief Guest, General Manager, Podar Education Network Mr. Manoj Kale graced the occasion. The theme for the first day was “A Time To Celebrate” showcasing the cultural diversity of the country.Students performed on Dances of states like Kashmir, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra etc. The highlights of the day were a Covid Act presented by students of Grade 5D and a small act on Shivaji Maharaj.The theme of the Senior School was “The Five Elements” depicting the importance of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. The school orchestra presented a 20 minute rendition that mesmerised the audience. The importance of water and the circumstances caused by its shortage in the year 2050 was presented through a beautiful skit. The contributions of sportspeople like Mary Com, Mirabai Chanu and Neeraj Chopra were demonstrated through popular Bollywood songs. The Space element was presented by students of Grades 9 and 10 as the finale element that was the showstopper of the evening. Student toppers of Grades 1- 12 were presented with certificates and Trophies, Best Teacher awards were presented to Mrs. Mercia Kharat, Mr. Yogiraj Pandey, Mrs. Geeta Saini and Mr. Sunil Mansure. Mrs. Anjali Sharma was also felicitated for receiving Prestigious Dr. C.V. Raman National award for the Subject Physics.

The Lezim dance performance by grade VIII girls was yet another scintillating display of talent which showcased the culture of our state. Subsequently, the other races took place, succeeded by the Prize Distribution for the same. The parents too cheered their children throughout the event. The Tug O’ War is an event which demands brute strength, sheer endurance and excellent team coordination, was definitely the most anticipated event of the day. The event held between the Grade IX and X enraptured the audience as the level of excitement drastically went up.
