Podar International School, Ahmedabad, conducted insightful Anti-Bullying Awareness Sessions for students of Grades 3 to 10, with the aim of fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.

The sessions were thoughtfully designed to help young learners understand the concept of bullying, recognize its various forms, and become aware of the serious impact it can have on individuals. Students were guided on how to respond effectively to such situations, emphasizing the importance of standing up for themselves and others while promoting kindness and empathy in their daily interactions.

They were also sensitized about the importance of seeking help and were encouraged to approach teachers, school counselors, or trusted adults whenever needed.

The sessions were well-received and marked a meaningful step towards nurturing responsible, empathetic, and compassionate individuals.

Our Grade 4 students delivered a powerful and thought-provoking mime performance on the theme “Save Water, Save Life.” Through expressive, silent actions, they beautifully highlighted how everyday habits—like leaving taps running, overusing water, and polluting water sources—lead to unnecessary wastage.

As the act unfolded, it painted a stark picture of a world facing water scarcity—dry taps, parched lives, and the struggle for every drop. Yet, the performance also carried a message of hope. By adopting simple practices such as turning off taps, reusing water, and spreading awareness, we can all contribute to meaningful change.

The act served as a gentle reminder that water is not just a resource—it is life itself. Saving water today means securing a better tomorrow.

Integrated Learning Program (ILP) at Podar International School, Ahmedabad began the first thematic session: Mind to Mic for Grades 3–5. It highlighted the power of expression and the importance of every voice.

On the occasion of Earth Day, students of Grades 3 to 9 enthusiastically expressed the importance of protecting our planet through creative posters, drawings, and thoughtful presentations.

Through these engaging activities, students understood the difference between a clean and polluted environment and learnt about the harmful effects of pollution. They highlighted simple yet impactful actions such as reducing waste, reusing and recycling materials, saving water, planting trees, avoiding plastic, and keeping the surroundings clean.

The activities not only enhanced their creativity but also nurtured awareness and a strong sense of responsibility towards caring for nature and becoming eco-friendly citizens.

Young learners of Podar International School, Ahmedabad, took a delightful step back in time as they participated in an engaging Heritage Walk on 18th April in the Special School Assembly! The assembly area came alive, transforming into a vibrant display of iconic monuments such as the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel Tower, igniting curiosity and a sense of pride among the students.

From keen observation to confidently sharing fascinating facts, every moment became a meaningful journey through history in the assembly. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt pledge by our students to cherish, protect, and preserve our rich heritage.

A special Health Awareness session on the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) Vaccine was conducted for the girls of Classes 9 and 10 in the school assembly area.

We were privileged to have Dr. Alpa Patel and Dr. Ravi Makwana from the Chandkheda Urban Health Centre lead this informative session. They shared valuable insights on HPV, its prevention, and emphasized the importance of vaccination for ensuring long-term health and well-being.

Such initiatives reflect our commitment to empowering students with essential knowledge for a healthier and safer future.

In the morning assembly, the Principal Sir addressed the students of Grade 10, sharing valuable insights on effective exam preparation and the importance of discipline.

He emphasized that regular practice is essential in every subject. Consistent effort helps in building clarity and confidence. As rightly said, “Practice makes man perfect.” To illustrate this, Sir shared a meaningful example of an archer, highlighting how focus and repeated practice lead to mastery.

Sir also spoke about common distractions that students must avoid during their preparation, such as excessive use of mobile phones, television, and unnecessary social interactions. These distractions often result in a lack of focus and reduced productivity.

He further stressed that consistency is the key to success in Grade 10. Along with this, time management plays a crucial role in covering the syllabus effectively. Students were encouraged to plan their schedule wisely and follow it diligently. To guide students in their studies, Sir also introduced the SQ3R technique.

To stay motivated, Sir suggested that students should reward themselves after completing each topic. This helps in maintaining enthusiasm and a positive mindset.

A Poster Making Activity was organized for Grades X and XI to foster creativity, awareness, and self-expression among students. The activity served as a vibrant platform for learners to showcase their artistic talents while presenting meaningful quotes and write-ups inspired by the life and works of the legendary literary icon, William Shakespeare.

Students participated with great enthusiasm, using vivid colors, innovative designs, and impactful slogans to create visually appealing and thought-provoking posters. The activity not only enhanced their imagination and artistic skills but also deepened their understanding of the power of visual communication.

Teachers provided valuable guidance throughout the process, helping students refine their ideas and improve their presentation. The posters were evaluated on the basis of creativity, clarity of message, neatness, and overall presentation.

Overall, the activity proved to be both engaging and educational. It boosted students’ confidence and enabled them to express their thoughts in a creative and effective manner.

A quiz competition was conducted for Grade 8 during the morning assembly, making learning more engaging and interactive for students. The quiz covered a wide range of topics, including General Knowledge, Social Science, Science, Mathematics, English, Hindi, and Sports, encouraging students to think quickly and apply their knowledge effectively.

Participants enthusiastically took part in various rounds such as multiple-choice questions, “Pick Your Choice,” and rapid-fire, showcasing their awareness and presence of mind. The quiz not only tested their knowledge but also boosted their confidence.

The audience was actively involved through bonus questions, adding to the excitement and keeping everyone attentive throughout the session. The event created a lively atmosphere and promoted a healthy spirit of competition among students.

Mock Fire Drill Conducted at Podar International School, Ahmedabad

Podar International School, Ahmedabad, organized a fire drill for teachers to familiarize them with the evacuation procedures, reinforce awareness of fire safety protocols, and ensure readiness in case of an actual emergency.

Recently, a training session was conducted for our new joinees, focusing on the effective use of our digital systems and tools. The session covered key aspects such as the computer system, visualizer, Loop Learning platform, Google Office tools, and the process for reporting and resolving IT-related concerns.

The session was successfully conducted by our IT team members, Ms. Chaitali and Ms. Utkarsha, whose efforts ensured a smooth and insightful learning experience for all participants.

Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE organised a week-long celebration on the occasion of 'Shakespeare Day' to honour the world's pre-eminent dramatist, William Shakespeare, to whom English literature owes a lot.

The school celebrated the works of Shakespeare with grandeur. Students of classes 6th to 12th participated in various competitions. It was a celebration to pay homage to the 'Bard of Avon’ and to get a glimpse of his literary excellence.

The students took part in the following Competitions based on the theme of Shakespeare and his literary art:

With great enthusiasm and zeal students cleared several rounds to reach to the finals. On the felicitation day, the students of grade 12th enacted the famous play 'The Merchant of Venice’ with impeccable improvisation, finesse and precision.

All those who witnessed the play they were completely mesmerized with the brilliant performances delivered by grade 12th.

Principal Sir encouraged the students by giving away the certificates and by his motivational speech for the wonderful delivery and performances.Vice Principal ma'am had all appreciations for them. Last but not the least, the program ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the English HOD, Snigdhamoni Bora.

Students from class 6 to 10 proactively participated in the Jump-Start activity under the theme 'Tech-it-up'.

Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE presents a glimpse of creative and innovative work experienced at G20-IGNITE.

Recently some of our students from classes 4th, 11th and 12th (57 students from Science stream, 1 student from Class 11 and 1 Student from Class 4) got an opportunity to attend the Science fair #G20IGNITE organised by IIT Gandhinagar at their campus. The students were accompanied by their Physics and Chemistry faculty, Mr. Vishal Pillai and Jatin Bharadwaj.

The trip was a fabulous opportunity for the students to learn how to use commonly used items like plastic straws to create something creative and yet relate it to Science theories, the motto of creative learning workshop was to bring curiosity and fun in the classroom.

Students actively participated in different events based on technology and critical thinking activities.

Also, we are extremely elated to announce that a group of four students secured second position in the #BrainBytesQuiz while competing with different schools.

Students were taken to various research labs and were explained about various research facilities and work currently done by the students of IIT.

Our students interacted with the faculties and their students, and took guidance from them about their future endeavours.

Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE showcases the first assembly for secondary and senior secondary classes for the academic session 2023-24.

Morning assembly is an inseparable part of school culture. It helps in building a culture of communication, discipline, representation of academic and co-curricular activities. In light of this, Podar International School, Ahmedabad began the new academic session 2023-24 by conducting exclusive outside assemblies by grade 10th and 12th.

The students of grade 10th and 12th took initiative in all the essential elements and aspects of the assembly, starting from command, thought, pledge, news, school song and finally the most awaited segment, the activity which was based on 'adverse effects of smartphones' for grade 10th and 'an interview of a commoner and a celebrity' for grade 12th.

At the end of the activity the Principal and Vice Principal addressed the students of classes 10th and 12th respectively.

Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE has conducted the very first session of #SchoolClubs with the jumpstart activity of 'The Gourmet Club' in all the sections of classes 6th to 8th.

Students of classes 6th to 8th were introduced to all 5 clubs and were engaged in the activity of making a chart related to their feeling about the food they are going to prepare in the upcoming sessions. They were also made aware of the safety rules to follow in the kitchen and were duly acquainted with some important kitchen tools.

Little scholars were warm-heartedly welcomed by their eagerly waiting teachers.
Little tiny tots of grade 1 enjoyed the new phase. Some were nervous and some were utterly excited.

Whereas students in grade 2 were overjoyed to meet their new teachers and old friends.
They had a thrilling day chatting with teachers, and friends, having lunch together and sharing their stories.
Their delighted faces made our day more enthusiastic, eventful and brighter.
